Well-decorated, well-staffed, and most importantly well-located (you can walk to the university!), Hilton Garden Inn was an easy choice for our favorite hotel in the area.
The hotel has a modern design, is very clean, and overall feels very new. Guests love the indoor pool and jacuzzi, as well as the bright and spacious rooms. Be sure to grab some of the free breakfast buffet – served every morning.

Another hotel with an amazing location is the Fairfield Inn Albany – our favorite budget hotel near the University of Albany!
The staff are helpful and kind, the rooms are clean and spacious, and the wifi and breakfast are always free. Grab a snack or drink anytime with the on-site market of the multiple vending machines.

One of the nicest hotels in the area, Mariott Albany provides its guests with a luxurious experience.
The decorations are beautiful, and the vibe is very modern and sophisticated. Guests love the on-site bar and the on-site restaurant, but the rooms are so beautiful and cozy that if you don’t want to leave, don’t worry – you can just order room service!

Another splurge hotel, the Renaissance is located in the middle of downtown Albany, and is easily the coolest hotel on our list.
Why? The design is fun and artsy – we’d label it a ‘modern boutique hotel’. Guests rave about the beautiful bedrooms, large bathrooms, and delicious on-site restaurant. Extra points for the free airport shuttle.

The motel is very clean, and the rooms are large and cozy. Guests love the comfortable beds and pillows, and the free continental breakfast served daily. Rooms are equipped with work stations, microwaves, and refridgerators.
