Located inside the Chevy Chase Pavilion, the Embassy Suites Washington DC is a great hotel for a family or solo traveler. Swim in the indoor pool, work out in the fitness center, or grab a drink at the on-site bar – there’s plenty to do here for everyone!
Also, the breakfast is free and it’s delicious. Try the omelette – it’s amazing.

One of DC’s more opulent hotels,, The Ritz-Carlton Georgetown is easily the nicest hotel on our list.
The design is gorgeous – classy and cozy, and the rooms are so big and beautiful that you might never want to leave them! But we recommend getting out a bit – at least to grab a bite at one of the on-site restaurants, or to enjoy a relaxing few hours as the on-site spa.

One of the best budget hotels near American University is Key Bridge Marriott – and it’s quite nice!
While some of the amenities are a bit more basic, the hotel is sterling clean, and the rooms and bathrooms are spacious and well-designed. Guests also love the helpful staff!

Another WOW hotel – the Omni Shoreham Hotel is really something! The classic design is beautiful enough to make your jaw drop – especially in the outside areas.
The hotel also has an on-site spa which is great for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing or business meetings. And be sure to ask the front desk about their bike rental program – it’s a great way to see the city!
